1. You must first determine the speed and type of CPU processors that the motherboard can support. The motherboard manual should contain this information.
2. Next you must confirm the voltages of the processor you wish to use. This information will be available either in the motherboard manual or from the CPU’s manufacturer.
3. Reconfigure the jumper settings on the motherboard to match the new CPU processor speed and voltage.
4. Remove the heat sink and fan from the existing CPU.
5. Unlatch the ZIF socket and remove the old CPU.
6. Properly orient and insert the new CPU into the ZIF socket and latch it.
7. Reconnect the heat sink and fan.
8. Close the computer’s case and reboot. The BIOS will automatically adjust the settings.
9. Run Micro-Scope System Board and CPU Benchmark Tests to verify that all is working properly.
