Running Micro-Scope for Optimization
Now, for optimization, we want to run the Micro-Scope benchmark tests. Run
Micro-Scope again, as outlined in steps 1 through 4 above. Then, do the following.
1. Use the arrow keys to select UTILITIES on the Micro-Scope main
menu. Press ENTER. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to RUN BENCHMARKS
and press ENTER. Select RUN ALL and press ENTER
again.
- Micro-Scope will now perform its benchmark tests. The monitor screen will
go black for a few seconds. Don’t touch anything. When the tests have been
completed, the Benchmarks display will show the results.
- Now you can verify that the megahertz for CPU and NPU are within a few MHz
(megahertz) of the expected speed. If they are not, you’ll need to perform
the steps above to ensure that the BIOS setup is correct, then check that
jumper settings on the motherboard are correct.
- If these settings are all correct, you can now proceed with the Micro-Scope
Diagnostics by continuing with the following steps.
